The 2016 Honda Accord V6 Sedan, like other cars from your typical Japanese manufacturer, emphasizes value giving you a proper bang for your buck vehicle and for those looking for luxury in an Accord, you’re looking at the wrong brand, Honda has Acura for that job. The current generation Accord boasts great handling and balanced power delivery as well as fuel efficiency in a very practical and safety feature-loaded package.
The 2016 Honda Accord V6 Sedan Lacks Luxury But Makes Up for an Exquisite Chassis
The 2016 Honda Accord V6 Sedan is presented as a sleek modern day family sedan with and aggressive front fascia and a very Japanese design. Featuring LED daytime running lights and LED everywhere from the headlights, fog lights, to the taillgihts. The 2016 Accord is offered in a top end trim equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 and is mated to an 6 speed automatic which is way better than its CVT alternative equipped on lower trims. Amazingly, Honda offers an Accord coupe with the manual option but I can’t see why anyone would buy an Accord in coupe form when there’s the hot new Civic.
On the inside of the 2016 Accord V6 Sedan, the materials are of your typical Japanese sedan with an effort to make you feel that what you’re sitting in is much more expensive than what you paid for; for the most part, it does such as on all the vital touch points. Plastics with soft touch finishes are ever present and the ill-conceived split screen center console is still present from the previous generation but with the lower infotainment screen replaced with Honda’s latest capacitive touch display. To give the Accord justice, they say space is a luxury and boy does the Accord boast a lot of space. Featuring best in class cargo space, knee, head, and even elbow room, the interior of an Accord is where you want to be in if you want to feel comfortable on longer drives.
Driving performance of the 2016 Honda Accord V6 Sedan offers flat cornering and stable ride at all speeds, while the steering may not be that quick, it’s not what you typically find and look for in family sedans anyway. The ride quality is superb, the feedback is just right and dampers just soak up the bumps as you cruise along with the V6 happily purring away in the background.
