Audeze Sine Review – A Pricey Specialty

The Audeze Sine are advertized as a pair of full-sized portable headphones, and not everyone can easily get it primarily because of the price tag. It is placed in the high-end of the market, and it is quite expensive, even as far as portables go. However, those who know their headphones well will know that its price point is reasonable for excellent-sounding planars.

The Audeze Sine Gives You Great Value for Your Money Even though the Audeze Sine are quite expensive, there are even other models that are even pricier. These other contenders are located in other brands such as Oppo and HiFiMan. In fact, even Audeze has other higher-priced models, so these planars are suitably located in an easy-to-reach price point. Well, for serious audiophiles anyway. The Sine Headphone comes in the low-end for its class, especially when you consider the brand is among the giants found within the high-end sector in the headphone industry. Planar headphones tend to be huge, and rather bulky. However, this particular headphone can fold flat and will easily slip into a briefcase or slim backpack without much hassle. With this type of feature, it already makes itself more attractive than other models on the market. Within the standard packaging, it does come with the usual analog headphone cable, but what you can do is to acquire an optional Lightning cable to go along with the unit, but that does cost extra. Hence, if you're an iPhone or an iOS device owner, then the extra cash you have to shell out will be money worth spent. As for its audio performance, it is nothing short of excellent. It delivers all the hallmarks of the planar magnetic driver, which are skull-shaking yet distortion-free low-end signals, nicely balanced mids, as well as crisp highs that makes you feel like you're actually right beside the person or the band that made the track. Furthermore, and as mentioned earlier, the pair is remarkably small and lightweight, especially when you greatly consider that these are planar headphones. Furthermore, the design is absolutely handsome as well. There's a lot of premium leather to go around, and it is finished with a very tasteful and stealthy all-black color. However, it doesn't mean that the Audeze Sine is the perfect pair to get on the market. While it is an excellent sounding pair of planars, there are others that even sound as good, or even better within its price class. Also, although it is very handsome to look at, it is not the most comfortable pair on the market. In fact, it is better if you listen with these on in short sessions.
