Beats Solo3 Wireless Review – Superior Battery Life

The Beats Solo3 Wireless is an on-ear pair that makes use of a Bluetooth pairing with your phone. In terms of looks, it does look nearly identical to that of the Beats Solo 2 Wireless. This is because, for the most part, the brand has not updated the design; well, for the exteriors to say the least. But what changed for this new iteration is that it now uses Apple’s new W1 custom Bluetooth chip. With it, it is granted with an improved battery life. Furthermore, since it now makes use of Apple’s technology, pairing with Apple’s devices has never been simpler.

The Beats Solo3 Wireless Pairs With Apple Devices Easily

Even though the Beats Solo3 Wireless makes use of Apple’s chip, it doesn’t mean it won’t work with Android and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. It should also be noted that the battery life remains the same even when the headset is paired with an Android device. Speaking of which, battery is perhaps the best selling point of this pair of on-ear cans. How good is the battery life you ask? It’s a whopping 40-hours. This means that it can outdo a ton of wireless headsets on the market by providing approximately 5-times more battery power as compared to the competition.

As a matter of fact, the Beats Solo3 even beats (no pun intended) its predecessor. For comparison’s sake, the Beats Solo 2 Wireless had over 12-hours of battery life, and that was even rated as a major improvement over many wireless headsets on the market. But that’s not all as the successor to the Beats Solo 2 Wireless features the brand’s Fast Fuel feature, in which it will give you 3-hours of battery life with just a 5-minute charge.

So is the sound quality upgraded? Well, for better or for worse, the audio performance remains the same as the Beats Solo 2 Wireless. While the successor still sounds very good as an on-ear pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones, this would still primarily appeal to bass lovers. Hence, it does give an added kick to the low-end portions of the audio spectrum. Those who want a more natural and flat-sounding audio should definitely look elsewhere.

Ultimately, the Beats Solo3 Wireless is mostly the same as that of the Beats Solo 2 Wireless, except with some updates added into the mix. However, the price is still too high for many, which can make it quite difficult to recommend.
