Linksys EA9500 Review – Piercing Through Walls

If you live in a property with a lot of walls and obstructions, then you know the problem of Wi-Fi signals not being able to be used at their fullest capacity all too well; but that might soon change should you plan on getting the Linksys EA9500. This is because the Wi-Fi signals coming from this particular router can breach through walls (so to speak), thereby letting you experience the best wireless experience you can have right at your very own home.

The Linksys EA9500 Lets You Have the Best Wi-Fi Experience at Home

Just like other high-end routers on the market, the Linksys EA9500 closely resembles that of a spider that has been toppled onto its back. There are eight adjustable antennas that can be positioned in different, well, positions to let you optimize the signal properly. However, in the initial setup of the router, it will tell you to just leave the antenna blades pointed straight up. You can then tweak it later on should you find a better direction for these antenna blades to point.

If you’re already a veteran in setting up a router, then do note that the EA9500 will be just as easy to put together properly. All you need to do is plug it in, find the wireless network in the immediate area, turn your computer on, open up a browser, and then input the IP address. Once everything has been properly set up, you will be able to enjoy Wi-Fi signals throughout your home, and it might literally mean all areas of your abode.

For some routers, even those found in a high-end price class, they still have trouble permeating through walls and other obstructions. Therefore, should the router be placed at the far end of the home, you will be left with nothing but weak signals. However, this is not the case with Linksys’ spider-like router. This is because for the steeper price (as compared to others), you will be able to enjoy greater signals even when your room is located at the far end of your home.

But what if you want the Linksys EA9500 to work in a wired fashion? Then you will be able to take advantage of 8 gigabit ports, and these ports are essential for homes with smart devices, but for the average user 8 gigabit ports might be a bit overkill. Ultimately, you will certainly get your money’s worth when you purchase this router.
