Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Review – No Case and Stand Doesn’t Get in the Way of Performance

When you think about high-end headsets, even those that are found in a non-gaming category, you would think that “it has to have a stand, or at the very least, a carrying case;” but sadly, the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum doesn’t have either. However, don’t be bummed just yet, because what you will get for paying the weight of its price tag is an incredible flexible gaming peripheral with an awesome build quality. Oh, and it sounds great as well.

The Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Brings in the Comfort and Sound

When the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum is turned off and folded neatly, the looks of this particular gaming headset is quite unimposing, but they still look like a pair of futuristic-looking over-ear headphones. The headband and the earcups are made out of an entirely black plastic. The earcups are covered with a foam padding, whereas the band is covered by a black cloth. The earpads are rectangular in shape, but the backs of these earpads have an uneven pentagon shape. With such a design choice, it creates a very sci-fi appearance.

When you take a look at the right earcup of the G933 Artemis Spectrum, you will find all the controls and connections available. These include the Power, Mic Mute, and three programmable G buttons. You can also find the volume wheel, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary port for when you just want to have a wired listening session instead.

Turn the unit on, and the headset comes to life as it bears a very Tron-like appearance. The G logos found on the outside will start to glow, and the otherwise invisible lines will now be, well, visible. These lights are programmable by way of the brand’s own software (which can only be used for Windows machines, unfortunately).

But what does the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum sound like? When it comes to gaming, it’s nothing short of excellent, and the same can be said as to whether or not you turn the 7.1-channel Dolby and DTS surround sound feature on or not. Play videogames like Bloodborne for the PlayStation 4, and you will catch every footstep your character makes, even those who are trying to attack you from behind. In terms of music performance, this particular headset also handles itself very well. Hence, unlike other gaming headsets are purely for videogaming, you can also listen to your favorite tracks with this unit and won’t be disappointed with it. Ultimately, this is one of the best gaming headsets that you can buy on the market.
