Vizio P652UI-B2 4K Ultra HD TV Review – Great Value UHD TV

The Vizio P652UI-B2 offers 4K resolution, which means that the company has stepped up the game from their upper-tier 1080p HD TV product line. It offers UHD resolution in a slim and sleek architecture. Furthermore, it is equipped with a 32-zone full array, local dimming backlight system. With the inclusion of its new features, it does get a price bump as well. For what it’s worth, it does bring a “bang for your buck” kind of experience in just about every way possible. While the price tag is bumped up as compared the brand’s Full HD TV line, the price point is still found at a budget-friendly price, especially when you consider its 65-inch display size.

The Vizio P652UI-B2 Brings Great Value for a 4K UHD TV

Right out of the box, the Vizio P652UI-B2 delivers an “unflashy” vibe with regards to its design. There is no chrome strip found around the bezel, and the TV’s accompanying stand is not the fashionable type that you would normally find in large-screened television sets. This is a very simple and very unassuming TV. Nevertheless, its sleek looks is quite handsome, but in an inconspicuous kind of way. Think of it as that mysterious stranger with the simple looks that’s sitting across you at the coffee shop.

The entire cabinet of the TV weighs a hefty 68-pounds, so you might need some help setting it up. The standard packaging comes with the company’s dual-sided remote (complete with a QWERTY keyboard found on the rear side), as well as the stand and other pieces of hardware. There’s not much to be excited about inside the box, really. This is because the TV is not capable of supporting 3D, which is actually laudable. Why? Because 3D is not often used by many, and even if you do have such a feature in your television set, you wouldn’t use it that often anyway.

When you look at the performance of the Vizio P652UI-B2 4K Ultra HD TV in the eyes of a standard viewer, you would think that the picture performance is quite good. However, when you turn a critical eye towards it, then you would find its shortcomings. The black levels are pretty solid to look at, but it doesn’t quite match up to other 65-inch 4K capable TVs out there. As for color reproduction, it is pretty good, but you might have to do some tweaking the first time you power it on.

Overall, the Vizio P652UI-B2 does get high marks for delivering a decent picture quality contained in a budget-friendly price point. But does this mean that it makes itself to be a no-brainer purchase? Then the answer to that question is still a definite No.
