Acer Predator Z1 Review – Crisp Images for a High Asking Price

The Acer Predator Z1 is a 27-inch curved monitor that is placed in a decent price for its size and performance. However, it is still quite difficult to reach and consider, especially for monitor hunters that are out on the market while having a tight budget. Nevertheless, if you are considering to get this unit, then know that you will be able to get a high-end look and feel of it. However, with its asking price, it might make you wonder why it could not achieve 4K UHD resolution as its native resolution is only at 1080p.

The Acer Predator Z1 Has a Steep Asking Price for a 1080p Monitor

Even though the Acer Predator Z1 could not attain 4K UHD resolution, it will give you more than decent lighting, and it even has G-Sync technology for extra-smooth gaming graphics. However, for its price tag, you can already get a 4K monitor with the amount of cash you are required to spend in order to get this. Hence, you might seriously consider your options prior to purchasing this model first.

For its design, it does offer similar looks that bears the Predator name. The Predator Z1 has a red-and-black design found in many other devices that sport the same product line name. It is noticeably aggressive, and the monitor has a curved display that has a very hard-to-miss Predator logo found at the bottom bezel. The metal base is sturdy as it is large. Nevertheless, the display is quite easy to adjust, and you can even tilt the display 25-degrees to the back or 5-degrees forward. If you want, you can even swivel the monitor 30-degrees to the left or right. The stand also allows you to raise or lower the screen up to approximately 5-inches in height.

Perhaps what’s really great about this monitor is not with its sharp display, but its lights has the ability to mimic whatever color is found on the screen. For instance, if you have a lot of white on the display at the moment because you’re handling a lot of documents, or when you’re just leaving the computer inactive while showcasing your mostly-blue wallpaper, the LEDs will sync up to whatever color shows in such a perfect manner that it is downright beautiful.

When it comes to gaming performance, the Acer Predator Z1 and its 1080p resolution can handle just about every genre of videogames out there to very decent lengths. With the G-Sync technology, gaming graphics performance are as smooth as it can possibly be. While just about everything about this monitor would give you the sense of “I must have it,” do take note once again that with the money you’re going to shell out on this that you can get a very decent 4K UHD monitor on the market.
