Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe Review – The Model You Want

Asus has released a bunch of variants into the Zenfone 3 line, and one of those is the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe. What makes this variant different from the others? For one, it defines itself to be better (and pricier) than the other smartphones within the series. It has a full-metal body design, as well as industry-leading hardware specifications. Furthermore, if the 6GB of RAM and 23-megapixel camera doesn’t entice in you in an instant, then there’s more to love about this handset.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe Sports 6GB of RAM

For some, taking a look at the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe would make them think that it s a Zenfone variant that is placed in the higher-end markets due to its full-metal body design. However, just like with other Zenfones of the past, it packs in impressive features while maintaining a lower-than-average price point. Furthermore, it makes an immediate name for itself once you get a whiff of the performance of the 6GB of RAM packed into the handset. At the time of writing, most other smartphones on the planet would top out their memories at 4GB. Therefore, you would be able to open even more apps and cram it all into its 5.7-inch display without much or any lag.

Aside from the 6GB of RAM, it has a Snapdragon 821 processor, and the base model comes with 64GB of internal storage, and that can even be boosted with a microSD card. It even has a 23-megapixel camera built into it. These are all very impressive to look at on paper, and experiencing them all first-hand is no joking matter either. At the time of its release, Android Nougat is still not available for Zenfone devices, but it does run with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Its metal unibody is the world’s first full-metal variant that has an invisible antenna design, and this claim is more than just a rudimentary advertisement as it is technically true. Hence, it even beats the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 in which is rumored to sport anti-antenna lines as well. However, Apple’s latest smartphone hasn’t been released yet so Asus wins this round.

While there are many things to be impressed about the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, it doesn’t mean that there are no shortcomings. You will get the same 1080p resolution, which is found in other Zenfone 3 devices. Even though it is still an impressive feat, it would do better to have a better display than the rest, especially with its higher price tag.
