In case you didn’t know, Facebook has a feature wherein you can set up a temporary profile picture. This is great for individuals who no longer want to be remembered that they have to change their profile picture back after a holiday or an observance. Before, you would have to do it yourself, and there are a lot of times wherein you might just do away with the notion as you scroll endlessly on your timeline or newsfeed. Setting up a Temporary Profile Picture in Facebook
Step 1 – To set a temporary profile picture in Facebook, you would have to log into your account first. When the page loads, you should be able to see an “Edit Profile” link located below your name rear the top-left portion of the navigation column.
Step 2 – Clicking on “Edit Profile” should lead you to your Facebook Timeline in which you can edit a bunch of stuff in here. But for this particular moment, we’re here to set up a temporary profile picture. To do that, hover your mouse first over to your current profile picture. You should be able to see an “Update Profile Picture” indicator that will peek right below the frame.
Step 3 – Click on that small dialog box and you will be taken to a number of options to change your current profile picture. You can take a new photo, upload a new one, or you can choose from your existing photos. Select, upload, or take a new photo, and it should bring you to a new dialog box that allows you to do final edits on your profile picture.
Step 4 – If you want to crop or do a bit of editing on your profile picture at this point, you may do so. You should be able to see a button down at the lower-left of the box that says “Make Temporary.” Clicking on that will let you choose a timeframe for when your profile picture will revert back to your current image. You can choose it to go back after an hour, a day, a week, or you can set up your own date for when it reverts.
