The account that you use in the Firefox browser lets you sync all your passwords, bookmarks, as well as other browsing data across devices. In other words, all your data that can be found within the desktop version of the browser can also be used when accessing your account from your smartphone. However, should there come a time when you want to delete your account (for various reasons), then you can do that. But do take note that this is a non-reversible action, and it will delete all kinds of online information pertaining to your account. All of the pieces of information that are stored inside your computer, however, will still be there.
Deleting Your Mozilla Firefox Account
Step 1 – The first step to deleting your Firefox account is to open up the browser and accessing your account. Once properly signed in, click on the menu button (which is the three horizontal bars) found at the upper right of the browser’s window. Once the menu pops up, click on the “Manage Account” portion which is found inside the Sync options page. It is in here that you will be able to get a good view of the account sync preferences, as well as other features.
Step 2 – But we’re not here for the other features, as you’re here to find a way to delete your Mozilla Firefox account. Once inside the “Manage Account” page, click on the “Delete” button found to the right of the “Delete account” menu item. For security purposes, you would need to input your password for the account once more. Once you click on the big, red “Delete account” button, and if the password matches to that of the account, the aforementioned account will then be deleted. Once again, there is no way to restore all the online pieces of information associated with the account, so you better make sure that you’re decision to do this is final.
Step 3 – You can also delete your Firefox account with the use of another browser. All you have to do is head on the Firefox Account Sign-in page, and then sign in with your log-in credentials that you use for your account. Now the process from the point onwards is pretty similar to the “Delete” portion of the previous step. Just click on the Delete button, input your password once more, and then click on the “Delete account” button to finalize your choice.
