Garmin Forerunner 735XT Review – For Triathletes

When you’re looking for a fitness tracker that can go the distance, then perhaps you might want to check out the Garmin Forerunner 735XT. It’s lightweight, and waterproof at the same time. This is primarily a fitness tracker for runners, but with its set of features, it is also a prime choice for triathletes. This particular “watch” can track anything from running, cycling, swimming, and many other sports. It even has an optical heart-rate sensor and delivers internal tracking. Oh, and it can also give you notifications from your phone. With everything that it has, and although it is a bit on the pricey side, it is definitely worth your money, and perhaps even more.

The Garmin Forerunner 735XT is the Activity Tracker That You Want (or Perhaps Even Need)

Once you put the Garmin Forerunner 735XT on, you might be mistaken that its light weight gives you a simple list of its features. This is where you’re wrong. It is on the light side as it weighs 40.2-grams only, has a thin bezel, but the company was able to squeeze in a bunch of features into the unit. For comparison’s sake, this particular fitness tracker has more features than that of the company’s 235 watch, and a whole lot more.

Speaking of comparison, there’s a bunch of things that makes the 735XT different from the 235. For instance, it has tracking for pool swimming, paddle boarding, open water swimming, cross country, hiking, and strength training. It even has support for running dynamics and it is able to give you a bunch of information on that regard. It also gives users a stress score, performance condition measurements (when paired with a chest strap), and a lactate threshold. Furthermore, it has courses, virtual trainer, and virtual partner features.

As mentioned earlier, this watch is designed for runners, but it leans towards thriathletes even more. It has a profile specifically for triathlons, as well as an auto-multisport feature. What does this mean? It means that you can switch between each sport easily by just a press of a button. This is great because you don’t have to manually switch from one app to another.

So is the Garmin Forerunner 735XT the perfect fitness tracker out there? Perhaps, but it won’t still be easily recommended for everyone because of its high price tag. Nevertheless, it is an exceptional choice for very serious fitness-centric individuals.
