Surprising as it may seem, but there are some people who has the default wallpaper for their iPhone and they haven’t changed that setting since the day of its purchase. It could be that they really do like the default wallpaper, or it could even be that they just don’t know how to change it. If you’re the latter type, then don’t worry as you can read on to know how you can change the wallpaper on your Apple smartphone.
Changing Your Wallpaper on Your iPhone
Step 1 – If you’re planning on creating your very own wallpaper for your iPhone, you have to take note of the different wallpaper dimensions for each model. For the 4/4s its 960 x 640-pixels, for the 5/5s/5c/SE its 136 x 640-pixels, for the 6/6s its 1334 x 750-pixels, and for the 6/6s Plus its 1920 x 1080-pixels.
Step 2 – If you gave the 3D “parallax” effect enabled on your Apple smartphone, then you have to make the dimensions a bit larger. This is to make up for the spaces that move around while you’re using the device.
Step 3 – Once you have an image chosen for your new iPhone wallpaper, now head on to the Settings app which can easily be found on the home screen. Once in, head on down until you see “Wallpaper” and tap on it. From here, select “Choose a New Wallpaper.”
Step 4 – From here, you have to two options to choose from. One is to revert to the default wallpaper that Apple provides, or you can use a photo from the camera roll. If you choose the former, then you can decide between “Dynamic” or “Stills” for the new wallpaper. Dynamic will include motion in them whereas Stills are just stationary images.
Step 5 – Should you want to use your own photo, or the one that you’ve recently created, then instead of tapping on the default wallpaper selection, you can tap on “All Photos” instead. It will then show you thumbnails of all of your photos found on the device. You can then select the one that you’ve just created, or you can select from the other images on the list.
Step 6 – Once selected, the iPhone will let you tap and hold on to the photo so that you can drag it around the screen to set it however you want. You can then tap on “Set” found at the bottom. It will then let you choose if you want to set the new wallpaper to the lock screen, to the home screen, or for both. Choosing an option will set the wallpaper for that particular screen (or screens).
