One look at the Motorola Moto Z Play and you would immediately think of it as a high-end phone. In fact, it is made to make waves with its snap-on modular accessories. However, what’s surprising about this particular smartphone is not with the things that you can attach to it to improve specific facets of its features, but by its price tag. While it may look to be a phone that is out of reach for many, it is placed at a price point that is relatively reasonable. Add the battery life that is better-than-most, and you have the right formula for your next smartphone.
The Motorola Moto Z Play is Surprisingly Reasonably-Priced
The Motorola Moto Z Play looks more like a trimmed-down version of the higher-end Moto Z. If you hear about its modular capabilities, you might immediately compare it to the LG G5. So what’s the difference? With Motorola’s contender, the modularity makes a lot more sense. Furthermore, the accessories are easier to use. Also, even though it is made with a more compact size as compared to the original unit, this Play variant has a beefier battery inside.
Take a feel at the back of the Moto Z Play and you will be able to touch two rows of magnetic bumps. These will let you attach and swap out its modular accessories, called as Moto Mods. With the use of these Mods, you can improve on different facets of the phone. For instance, it can be as simple as changing the decorative back cover, or you can even boost the already great battery life even further. There is also a snap-on speaker with kickstand, or you might fancy to attach a projector on the smartphone for those on-the-go business proposals.
As mentioned earlier, this Mods are incredibly easy to use. For example, when slapping on the speaker with the kickstand, music will automatically start playing when it is attached, and the projector will almost immediately let you beam images with just minimal setup procedures.
The performance and hardware on the Motorola Moto Z Play is pretty decent all-around, and there are some areas that are even clear improvements over the original model, despite it having a smaller price tag. However, the most outstanding element about this particular smartphone is its battery life, as it can give you 23-hours of continuous, heavy use. Now imagine how much you can get out of the phone if you’re just going to use it for just texting, calling, and the occasional checking of emails.
