New Characters Introduced for Tekken 7

As per the press release by Bandai Namco, one of the upcoming characters in Tekken 7 is actually a recurring one from previous iterations. It is Heihachi Mishima’s adopted son, Lee Chaolan. He will make a return for the 7th major installment for the famous fighting game. For those who are not quite familiar with the character, Lee Chaolan was taken in by the Mishima family due to Heihachi presuming that it would entice his own blood-related son, Kazuya Mishima, to try even harder to achieve his goals. Eventually, Chaolan was forced out of the family business but he would then go off into creating his very own company called Violet Systems. He then adopted the moniker “Violet” in order to continue competing within the King of Iron Fist tournament.

At the time of writing, it is not clear as to what would Lee Chaolan’s story in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution would be. However, the press release, which was released on Wednesday, states that his covert support towards the goals of Lars Alexandersson, which is a Tekken Force commander who led a coup against Heihachi in previous Tekken titles, was “only the beginning of what he had in store for the Mishimas.”

In addition to the upcoming new fighters towards the games roster, Bandai Namco also revealed some new details with regards to the videogame’s Story Mode. Once again, and it comes to no surprise for the follower of the Tekken series, that the story revolves around the Mishima Family, most especially with the ongoing battle between Kazuya and Heihachi.

However, the Story Mode in Tekken 7 does not only involve that of the Mishima family buy will also provide a narrative of a variety of characters within the roster, which includes the newcomer to the franchise, Claudio Serafino. Details of his group of exorcists are as follows according to Bandai Namco: “The Archers of Sirius are a group of exorcists who have been banishing supernatural entities from the world since ancient times. A highly secretive organization, its existence is unknown to the general public. Although it is unknown how their existence was subsequently revealed, the Archers of Sirius were suddenly approached by the Mishima Zaibatsu to join their conglomerate. The Archers of Sirius naturally refused but this did not stop the persistent pressure from the Mishima Zaibatsu and eventually the news of their unrelenting harassment reached the de facto leader of the Archers of Sirius, Claudio Serafino. Determined to uncover the motives behind the Mishima Zaibatsu’s aggressive recruitment tactics, Claudio begins to investigate the powerful conglomerate.”
