What separates the Thync from other wearable technologies out there is it’s not one of your average types. For starters, it does not tell you how many steps you’ve taken throughout the day, and you don’t even have to wear it 24-hours and 7-days a week. What it can do, however, is that its features are akin to that of Google Glass. You might receive some odd looks when you wear this while you’re out in public. Why? Because it attaches to your forehead.
Thync is a Tracker That Attaches to Your Forehead
Thync is capable of emulating the effects of certain drugs (some illegal and some legal). But if you’re worried about the negative effects it has to your body or to your brain, don’t be as there are no drawbacks to using its capabilities. It uses complex algorithms to alter your state of mind as it makes use of space-age neurosignaling technology.
Think about certain sci-fi movies such as A Clockwork Orange, Limitless, or Videodrome as these films have experimented with the mind with conscious-altering substances with certain types of technologies. The Thync device will no doubt speak to your inner geekiness, especially to those who actually got the chance to try it out when it first debuted back in CES 2015. It has now been a year later and the final device is now available for the public to marvel.
But here are questions that do revolve around the device since it is quite new. For instance, can it really energize or relax the mind? Will it work for everyone? Can it help me achieve better sleep at night? To start, it will connect to your phone with the use of Bluetooth pairing technology, and there are accompanying apps that are available for Android and iOS devices. Due to its unique nature and architecture, downloading the app will give users a first glance into using the device.
For the most part, Thync works. It can really alter the way you feel, but there are reports that it won’t work for others. As a disclaimer, the company did say that it will work for 80-percent of people. However, there is still that possibility that it won’t work, especially if you’re unlucky enough to be part of the remaining 20-percent. But for the 80-percent of people that are the lucky ones to get to experience the effects of this device, then you can supercharge your day or give yourself a more relaxing sleep.
