The highly anticipated Zelda: Breath of the Wild has just released two new videos for the upcoming action-adventure title. In those videos, they feature Link’s ability to cook, in which was fairly absent in just about every other Legend of Zelda game. While fans are excited about the new feature, Japanese game giant Nintendo has yet to officially announce a potential release date for the game. However, it does not stop fans from speculating that the game will be released on the 4th of March next year, and it will be available for the Wii U and the still-very-mysterious NX.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild Still Has no Potential Release Date
But of course, as fans of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will surely recall, the cooking aspect has already been previously covered as there were people who have already gotten to try out the game, especially during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). That’s not all, there has been loads of details divulged from the demo alone, which include the durability aspect of equipment, the ability of Link being able to climb up mountains and walls, and the stamina system wherein it can run out if you’re not too careful.
In the new videos of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, fans are now able to take a closer look at how Links holds up as a campfire chef (Monster Hunter anyone?). As Link, you will be able to gather resources from the wild (see what has been done there?). You will be able to toss those ingredients into a pot, cook them, and then Link can eat all of your creations, delectable or not.
On the second video clip, it features a small glimpse of Link cooking some healthy mushrooms prior to him going over to the Woodcutter’s House in order to pick up the already seen Woodcutter’s Axe (from the demo). With the axe, and as Link, you will be able to assist the Woodcutter in felling giant trees in order to traverse across large gaps within the large map of Hyrule.
Because the cooking feature in Zelda: Breath of the Wild is rather a rarity when it comes to comparing the upcoming game to previous titles, there are a lot of fans that will more likely appreciate Nintendo’s attempt in bringing more mechanics into the very popular title. Aside from the new cooking system, players will also be able to take advantage of new rune-based abilities.
